Busy Outer Banks!

Avon Beach Renourishment:

It is no secret that the last several years Avon has experienced severe beach erosion. The proposed
beach renourishment project will place over 1 million cubic yards of sand along the beaches of Avon
from Due East Road to Askins Creek North Drive, approximately 2.5 miles of oceanfront. The Dare
County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, voted unanimously to proceed with the
process of establishing a special tax service district in the Village of Avon for the county’s proposed
beach nourishment project. There is a map of the tax brackets and other frequently asked questions
about the renourishment on the Dare County website at: https://www.darenc.com/government/avon-
beach-nourishment/avon-faq
This project will cost between $11 million to $14 million and will be completed in 2022.

The OBX real estate market is very busy as well with many relocating to the area. With many still

Testimonial:
This was my first home buying experience. Trish went above and beyond to make sure we understood
every step in this process. She always had an answer for questions (no matter how dumb they were).
She was easy to talk to and always available. If it wasn't for her, I'm not sure how this would have
turned out. Amazing job!
