OBX Summer Activities
I am sure we have all had Facebook memories pop up of last summer concerts and festivities and reminisced our “old normal.” But I am here to tell you that there are some fun and SAFE activities that can still be had here on the OBX!
Live music can be found in plenty during the summer at various places such as: NC Coast Bar and Grill, Roadside, and Tap Shack in Duck, SandBars, Jack Browns, Bonzer Shack, OB Brew Station, Secret Island, New York Pizza Pub, Mulligans, OBX Marina, to name a few. Even with masks and social distancing; live music can still be a part of summer 🙂
While National Park Service welcome centers, lighthouses, The Lost Colony Play, the H20 Waterpark, and movie theaters remain closed, there is still many other things to do during your visit.
A fishing charter is always fun, call Dave Lusk with Saltminded Fishing to show you a fun time! There are Corolla wild horse tours, fly a kite on Jockey’s Ridge, visit the Wright Memorial (outdoor monument), rent bicycles or a jeep for beach cruising on Oregon Inlet (check out the shipwreck while you’re there). Sign up for a surf lesson or a kayak tour. Do a sunset dolphin tour; no matter how many times I see dolphin, I still get excited! Check out Village Yoga for a sunrise or paddleboard yoga session.
